Welcome to The Learning Station we are a training provider based in North London currently looking for highly motivated, mature volunteers to work with our client one of their two locations: Wood Green or Tottenham. The aim of this placement for candidates to move into to full time employment with one of the nurseries. 4 positions available Salary As a volunteer you will be awarded travel expenses. On successful completion of your volunteering placement you will earn £7.20 per hour. Benefits You will have the opportunity to complete the NCFE Diploma Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification in Children and Young People’s Work Force. We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and hard-working individuals keen to start work with our employers immediately. You must have an understanding of working with Early Years. There are no formal entry requirements as you will train under Children and Young People’s Work Force. During your volunteering you can look forward to the following: Gaining work based experience A nationally recognised qualification On-going training and support Career development and progression Day to day role As a volunteer you will be supporting senior members of the company with day to day tasks inclusive of customer services and administration duties: Your day to day duties can include: Communicating effectively with children, parents, carers and other members of staff Supporting child development Promoting child protection and safeguarding Assist in planning engaging learning activities Completing small projects Supporting the organisation in a confidential way in line with legal guidelines and company policies Supporting behaviour management Requirements Previous experience in an Early Years setting is desirable but not essential. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children. You will need to be friendly and approachable and easily able to communicate with staff, clients and customers visiting the organisation and during telephone calls.
